As the keyboardist for the legendary Boston band and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, The Cars, Greg Hawkes forged the sound of rock’s New Wave. Pioneering and pushing the limits of technology and sequencing of the late '70s and early '80s, Greg cemented the synthesizer's place in rock and pop music, and his contribution has influenced countless artists and bands since.

Along with achieving Rock & Roll Hall of Fame status and massive commercial success with The Cars, Greg has been a sought-after session and touring musician, and has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, Todd Rundgren, and The Turtles, to name a few.

In 2016, Greg collaborated with Boston's acclaimed Eddie Japan to produce their 2017 album 'Golden Age'. This led to Greg joining Eddie Japan to perform “Moving in Stereo”, “Bye, Bye Love”, and “Let’s Go” and a few surprise cover songs at multiple Eddie Japan shows in 2017, 2018 and 2019 ultimately led to the two joining forces to create a full night of music by The Cars featuring a set list curated by Greg.

The Cars had four Top 10 hits on the Billboard Top 100 chart during their 1976 through 2018 history: “Shake It Up,” “You Might Think,” “Drive” and “Tonight She Comes.” Other songs that got significant radio airplay over the years, and hits that Cars fans can expect to hear Saturday night, include “Just What I Needed,” “My Best Friend’s Girl,” “Good Times Roll,” “You’re All I’ve Got Tonight,” “Bye Bye Love,” “Moving in Stereo,” “Candy-O,” “Let’s Go,” “It’s All I Can Do,” “Shake It Up,” “Touch and Go” and “Since You’re Gone.”
